The Faithfulness of God
Introduction:
- In matters of importance man continually seeks for that which "works". One of the characteristics of what "works" is that it does so again and again. We want the brakes on the car "fixed"; the disease "cured"; the worker to "produce".
- What we really seek in all of these areas is the truth* The skeptic as wellas the Christian demands "truth" concerning the bank balance and the doctor’s prescription.
- It is a great comfort to know that God is not only "true" but the "Truth: (John l4:6) Because God is such He is faithful, i.e., absolutely reliable. He is not arbitrary or fickle!
