The Infinite God (1)
Introduction:
- One of the most important truths that we must know and understand about God is that He is infinite. This means that He is completely without any limitation. This applies to all His attributes. (Example: in regard to time He is eternal.)
- The Bible often speaks of His infinity. (Psalm lU7:5; Isaiah 66:1; Rom. 11:33) Great is the LCED, and greatly to be praised, and his greatness is unsearchable. (Psalm 145:3)
- This truth is summarized in the important name Yahweh (LCKD in the KJV and NIV). The Lord often used this name to remind His people that He was infinite and therefore could keep His Word, and be to His people all they would need.
